Miami, FL - All American is pleased to announce that it has been selected to join the Miami Freedom Tower preservation effort commencing in the Fall of 2010. Built in 1925, this 17 story building was designed to act as a beacon of light over the Miami Bay. Today it is one of the most recognizable and historic monuments in Florida as it commemorates the Cuban Americans' arrival in the United States. Maintaining the historical appearance of the building was paramount in the city's decision to move forward with the project. Through our partnership with ES Windows, we were able to achieve the design and custom grid pattern that existed on the original windows. "Preserving the history and look of the building was the main objective in our design discussions," said CEO, Buddy Pressley. "We are very pleased to have been selected as a local vendor out of a nationwide search and are excited about the opportunity to work with Miami-Dade College as well as Kaufman Lynn, one of the most respected General Contractors in the Southeast."

The 143 unit apartment complex is the latest Fort Lauderdale Housing Authority Project located off of NW 10th Avenue near downtown. The Fort Lauderdale Housing Authority has partnered with The Carlisle Development Group, LLC, the premier affordable housing developer in Florida on this project. This is the first of three large housing projects which Carlisle and Fort Lauderdale Housing Authority have partnered on. Pompano Beach, FL - The Step-Up Apprenticeship Initiative of the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Lauderdale (HACFL) has teamed up with All American Windows and Doors to add window installation to the many skills it teaches its apprentices. Given HACFL's current focus on transitioning homes to include impact windows and doors, both for hurricane preparedness and energy conservation, it is imperative that these young apprentices are trained to install windows effectively. In addition, adding this skill set will make these young apprentices more marketable allowing participants to be competitive in today's difficult job market.

The Step-Up Apprenticeship Initiative is a state certified apprenticeship program that prepares participants to receive state certification in Building Maintenance and Repair, as well as GED's if necessary. The program was created in 1995 to provide low-income public housing residents access to education, job skills and employment opportunities while working to rehabilitate the housing stock of their community. In 1997, the Step-Up Apprenticeship expanded its recruitment to include low-income residents of the city of Fort Lauderdale. All Step-Up Apprentices are registered with the State of Florida Department of Education, Apprenticeship Division.

All American's involvement will give Step-Up the training and supervision needed to ensure the apprentices are given first-class training. His responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operations for the firm's real estate and hotel operations, handling all financings and legal aspects of the business and overseeing the firm's staff of over 100 employees. He oversees the management of various hotels in Broward County and asset manages the firm's properties throughout the US and India. As a partner on the Trump International (www.trumpfortlauderdalehotel.com) project on Fort Lauderdale Beach, Dev handled all financial and legal aspects of the transaction on behalf of Merrimac Ventures and led the development team that recently received entitlements to build the 22-story Ocean Wave Beach Resort on Fort Lauderdale Beach. He is also developing a Solar Technology project for hotel properties to be marketed and sold globally and is spearheading efforts to expand into other areas.

Dev currently serves on the City of Fort Lauderdale`s Economic Development Advisory Board. He also sits on the Board of the Broward Housing Partnership`s Community Land Trust which is a non-profit affordable housing development entity in Fort Lauderdale. Dev is Vice President of the Golden Square Association, a group comprised of business owners in the Fort Lauderdale Beach area and is on the Business First task force, a joint venture between the Chamber of Commerce and the City of Fort Lauderdale.

All American Windows and Doors completed a full window and door retrofit for the entire common area and recreation room at Plaza East Condominium (www.plazaeast.info). Located on the Galt Ocean Mile in Fort Lauderdale, this historic hi rise was once dubbed Broward County`s Tallest Structure. A project valued at $600,000, this effort included removal of all existing windows and doors in all building common and recreation areas and installation of new ES Impact Windows and Doors. Working directly with the board of Plaza East, All American guided the project from start to finish from initial plans and shop drawings, to final inspections. By involving the Fort Lauderdale Building Department from the very beginning, All American was able to complete the work on time, under budget and up to all current hurricane protection codes.

A project valued at $400,000, this effort included removal of all existing windows and doors throughout all units in the 15 story high rise, followed by installation of new ES Impact Windows and Doors.

All American Windows and Doors has been chosen as the preferred impact window and door provider for Coral Ridge East Towers of Fort Lauderdale. This building is comprised of over 300 units. During the coming weeks, All American will be retrofitting the individual units of the condominium with ES Impact Windows and Doors. All American Windows and Doors provides energy efficient hurricane window protection to help homeowners become eligible for Citizens Wind Insurance Coverage.

Earlier this year private residents throughout the state of Florida received letters in the mail from Citizen's Insurance, the State's homeowners' insurance provider created by Florida Legislature in 2002. This letter informed homeowners located in the Wind Borne Debris regions specific to Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties that they must have the proper hurricane protection products protecting their dwellings to be eligible for coverage. This compliance is specific to private homes valued at $750,000 or more, whether they were built under the new building codes or not. Wood board shutter systems are no longer an acceptable form of protection.
